Is there an easy way to set up permissions per environment? Especially for environments that have branches created from them? Seems the only way at the moment is to modify a different branch to lock down permissions, then migrate the permissions changes, then change the branch permissions back again.

Is there a way to lock a user/group out an environment completely?

Hello!

Yes, for now by design you can change roles for environments with children only via migrations. In the future, we will review this behavior.
Can you describe why you need to have different roles a parent and children environments? It would help us to improve ci/cd process.
